Three criminals arrived on Monday afternoon at a store on the corner of Muñoz and Romero streets in the La Teja neighborhood and tried to rob it while there were several people, including customers and workers, inside the premises.
When the police arrived at the scene, after a telephone complaint, the criminals were still inside and when the officers notified the men they refused to leave, so the police defined the situation as a hostage taking, according to Telemundo reported and confirmed by El Observer.
After a few minutes, the police managed to arrest two of the criminals and seized several weapons at the scene.

“Rapid response from the Police to a call for a robbery in La Teja. Great deployment of zone 4 commanded by Major Callero”, the director of Coexistence, Santiago González, wrote on his Twitter account.
Members of the Republican Guard, the Tactical Reserve Group, as well as the Air Police participated in the operation.
