Session of the High Level Anticorruption Commission will be this Tuesday, July 19 at the headquarters of the JNJ

The Presidency of the High-Level Anti-Corruption Commission (CAN) reported that the 41st Session of said working group will be held. The appointment will be this Tuesday, July 19, at the headquarters of the .

Among the topics to be discussed, there will be the presentation of the Work Plan to 2023, in charge of the Presidency of the CAN, and there will be reports from the OSCE, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Serving, in relation to State contracts, the process of accession of Peru to the OECD and the advances to ensure suitability in the civil service, respectively.

Likewise, the viability of various regulatory initiatives in the area of ​​integrity and the fight against corruption will be discussed, such as the strengthening of protection mechanisms and incentives for reporting acts of corruption.

The actions to be developed will also be determined to strengthen, from the CAN Anticorruption, integrity in the context of Regional and Municipal Elections 2022.

It should be remembered that in its 40th session, the members of the High-Level Anti-Corruption Commission (CAN) elected Jose Avila Herrera as the new president of this strategic articulation space, from which the also head of the JNJ held a round of dialogue and work meetings with its various members.

The presence of the heads of the Judiciary, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ombudsman’s Office, the OSCE, Servir, Confiep, the Peruvian Press Council; as well as representatives of Congress, the Public Ministry, the Ministry of Justice, the Lima Chamber of Commerce, Proética, among other institutions from the private sector and civil society.

About the commission

The High Level Anti-Corruption Commission It is made up of the highest authorities of the Congress of the Republic, the Judiciary, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Justice, the Constitutional Court, the National Board of Justice, the Public Ministry, the National Assembly of Governments Regional, of the Association of Municipalities of Peru and of the National Agreement.

The CAN also has the participation of 15 observer members, representatives of public and private institutions and civil society. The election of the chair of this working group takes place every two years.
