Another Nicaraguan dies in the Rio Grande after trying to cross into the US.

The young Nicaraguan Romelio Isaiah Huete, 26 years oldwas found lifeless in the waters of the Rio Grande after trying to cross into the United States through the border city of Piedras Negras, northeast of Mexico.

According to information from the organization Texas Nicaraguan Community, The young man’s body was found on Saturday, July 16. The Public Ministry of Piedras Negras notified about the case. They managed to recognize Huete because he was carrying his identity card with a number 602-220995-0003M.

Huete, who worked as an auto mechanic, was originally from the municipality of Siuna, in the Autonomous Region of the Caribbean Coast, however —according to digital media— he lived for several years in Managua, along with his mother named Zayda González and other relatives. .

Information on social networks indicates that the young Nicaraguan was the father of a child under six years of age and it was one of the reasons why he decided to migrate to guarantee a better quality of life.

On the other hand, the organization reported that they were able to contact José Efrén Huete and another person, who are brothers of the deceased young man, but they did not provide details of the efforts to repatriate the body.
