FANB deactivates 30 Tancol explosive devices in Apure

Experts and troops from the special forces of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) deactivated 30 explosive devices on Monday, belonging to the Armed Terrorist Narcotrafficking groups of Colombia (Tancol) in Apure state.

The information was released by the head of the FANB Operational Strategy (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernandez Larezthrough his account on the social network Twitter, in which he specified that the explosives were found, thanks to the patrolling and reconnaissance work carried out by the military, in cross-country pedestrian crossings, between the population of Guafita and El Carozo, in the Páez municipality, Apure state.

“During patrolling and reconnaissance, explosives experts and FANB special forces troops locate and deactivate 30 explosive devices left by TANCOL groups in cross-country pedestrian crossings, between the town of Guafita and El Carozo Mcpio Páez, Apure,” Hernandez Larez noted.

The Head of Ceofanb reiterated that the military carry out patrols that “scrutinize the most remote spaces of our geography in the cross-border axis looking for, detecting and disabling explosive devices, placed on the trails by the Tancol groups during their withdrawal from national territory.”

They deactivate 14 explosive devices

A total of 14 artifacts explosives of different charges were located and deactivated by members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.

The information was provided by the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command, through his twitter account, from where he specified that the aforementioned material was located in the Santa Rosa sector, José Antonio Páez municipality (Guasdualito), Apure.

In addition to the 14 explosives, the soldiers obtained “gunpowder, 7.62x39mm ammunition, supply material and other supplies,” said Hernández Lárez.

Hernández Lárez stressed that the FANB will continue with its patrols on the cross-border axes and “will not allow illegal traffic on the green roads. All methods and channels for trade must be those regulated and established by the National Government, as contemplated in international agreements in accordance with our Constitution.

The actions that the FANB has been carrying out in the different border axes of the country are carried out under the premise of keeping the Tancol Groups outside the national territory.

It should be remembered that the President of the Republic, Nicholas Madurourged the FANB to keep the national territory free of drug trafficking, by ordering to declare the year 2022 100% free of the Tancols and their actions in the country.
