Rayssa wins and Pamela is 3rd in the Skate Street World League

He had a Brazilian double with Rayssa Leal and Pamela Rosa on the podium of the first stage of the World Skate Street League (SLS), in Jacksonville, Florida (United States). Olympic medalist at the Tokyo Games, Rayssa lost in the score to Japanese Yumeka Oda, but on the last lap the Maranhão hit a radical maneuver (helflip rockslide) and won the title with a total of 23.2, an advantage of 0.2 for Asian, which added up to 23.0. Pamela Rosa, current world champion, had a note annulled in the first round of maneuvers, even so she climbed to the podium in third place, with a total of 17.6. The fourth Brazilian to compete in the final was Gabriella Mazzeto who finished in seventh position.

In the fight for the men’s title, Brazil had only Felipe Gustavo in the final, which finished in eighth position (8.9). The winner was the Japanese Yuto Horigone (28.1), followed by the also Japanese Sora Shirai (27.8) and the third place was the Portuguese Gustavo Ribeiro (27.1).

The next stage of the SLS will take place in the United States, in the city of Seattle, on August 13th and 14th. The grand final of the Skate Street World League is already scheduled to take place at the Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro on November 5th and 6th.
