Sports Writing, Jul 17 (EFE).- The Barcelona squad held this Sunday, at the Inter Miami Sports City, their first training session of the tour that has begun in the United States and to which their latest signing, striker Robert Lewandowski will be added in the next few hours.
While the Polish international arrives and also his coach, Xavi Hernández, who was unable to take the flight with the Barça expedition on Saturday due to an administrative problem with his passport, Barça will train this Sunday in a double session.
The first was done at 10:00 local time and the second was done, on the same stage, nine hours later.
The 28 called up for the tour participated in this first session, and only Ferran Torres, with a toe injury, did specific field work, in a training session marked by the embarrassment present in Miami. Once finished, the players did gym work.
Before training, 50 kids from the Barça Academy PRO in Miami were able to take pictures with their idols from the first team. This academy is, along with the one in New York, the only one that is wholly owned by Barcelona.
The training session -open to the media for the first 15 minutes- was also attended by former Barça player Hristo Stoichkov, a Miami resident and collaborator on the US television network Univision. EFE
