The C11 National Indoor Soccer Championship “Homage to Darío Herrera and the 50 years of the Cerro Corá club” ended in the city of Ñemby with the consecration of Concepción after defeating Hernandarias last night in the final by 5-4.
It was an electrifying game from start to finish, where the northerners began winning, then the Alto Paraná turned it around and so on the process continued until the end of 5-4.
The goals for the consecration were scored by Celso Fromherz (4) and Jonathan Villasboa; while for the “clockwork orange” Carlos Giménez (2), Juan Fleitas and Amado Mareco converted.
Concepción conquered the title without losing a single point, after five consecutive wins in the same number of games, converting 26 goals and conceding only 8.
The horqueteño Celso Fromherz (reinforcement) was once again the best figure and scorer of a national minor, in this contest with 16 goals he was the scorer for the fifth time.
Previously and since he was 7 years old he has been consecrating himself as a scorer, competing in the National Indoor Soccer Schools and in the national C7, C9 and now in the C11.
The champions not only had the tournament’s top scorer, but also finished with the least overdue fence. That award went to Luka Rauber, who received only eight goals.
In the game for third place, Caaguazú beat San Ignacio 3-0. Marcos Casco scored the three goals for the caaguaceños.
