Agents assigned to the National Anti-extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) No. 34 arrested a person who was collecting key information to provide it to the Tren del Llano criminal organization that operates in the Guárico state, according to military sources.
The procedure was carried out in the Los Guaires sector, José Tadeo Monagas municipality (Altagracia de Orituco), Guárico, where the headquarters of the aforementioned criminal organization is located.
The subject was registered as Jesús José Abreu Aragort, alias Fat Cristian, who was traveling on a red Empire Horse motorcycle, license plate AE7B73K.
The man was seized a Smith & Wesson revolver, serial MRD4918915R1, caliber 38, with five unfired cartridges and a telephone set.
According to the military report, Abreu Aragort acts as a garitero and is in charge of providing information to the leaders of the Tren del Llano on the operations carried out by security organizations in the Llano entity.
Three more in Zaraza
In another procedure of the GNB, three other members of Tren del Llano were captured during patrol work in Barrialito, a rural sector of the Pedro Zaraza municipality, eastern Guárico.
The detainees are: Luis Ángel Martínez, who, when verified by the Integrated Police Information System (Siipol), turned out to be requested by the Police Delegation of Zaraza (Guárico) since 2013 for the crime of illicit possession of a firearm.
The other detainees are also requested by the same police station: Luis Miguel Álvarez (aggravated robbery in 2016) and José Leonel Jaramillo Fernández (generic robbery in 2020).
A 12-gauge shotgun, a non-industrialized firearm, four micro SD memory cards for cellular equipment, a radio transmitter and a motorcycle were seized from the detainees.
Tren del Llano was founded by Gilberto Malony Hernández, who was killed in November 2021 in the town of San Juan de Unare (Sucre) during a special operation.
The criminal group was born in Guárico and specializes in collecting vaccines from farmers in Altagracia de Orituco. But then he was captured by Colombian drug cartels to control a part of the territory from which to traffic drugs abroad, according to investigations.
Because of this Malony and his closest collaborators migrated from Guárico to Sucre where he was shot down.
Extortionist
And in El Sombrero (Guárico) Cicpc agents captured Kevin Luis Garrido Páez (20), from whom they seized a 9mm pistol used to attack commercial establishments and family homes with the purpose of intimidating and extorting them, according to a report posted on the scientific police networks.
