Defense Minister Jorge Taiana expressed his solidarity with the relatives of the 44 crew members of the ARA San Juanafter knowing the ruling of the Buenos Aires Federal Chamber that dismissed former president Mauricio Macri in the case for alleged espionage on relatives of those who disappeared due to the sinking of the submarine.

“We continue to demand justice,” the official wrote on his Twitter social network account.

“Today, more than ever, we honor the memory of the 44 heroes of the ARA San Juan submarine and we stand in solidarity with their families,” he stressed.

The minister referred to the ruling of the Buenos Aires Federal Chamber that dismissed the former president and the former heads of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI) of his government, Gustavo Arribas and Silvia Majdalani, after considering that the intelligence tasks carried out on the relatives of the crew members of the ARA San Juan submarine, which sank in November 2017, would not have been illegal, but rather that they were maneuvers to protect presidential security.
