President Jair Bolsonaro spoke today (7), during the signing ceremony for the concession of 5G frequencies, on the importance of the program that replaces Bolsa Família, the Auxílio Brasil.
“[A PEC dos Precatórios] it is not a default, quite the contrary. It is a renegotiation, an extension of debt for those who had more than R$ 600 thousand to receive from the government. This is what allows us a balance, a space, to justly enhance the program”, said the president, referring to the Proposal for Amendment to the Constitution (PEC) of Precatório, which makes room in the 2022 Budget to fund R$400 monthly to the beneficiaries of Aid Brazil.
Earlier this month, the Senate approved, in two rounds, the PEC. As it underwent changes, the proposal will have to return to the Chamber.

Vaccination
During a speech, Jair Bolsonaro said that the requirement of a vaccination passport against covid-19 violates individual freedoms. “We ask: who is vaccinated can contract the virus? Can and contract. Can transmit? Yes, it does. Can die? Yes, you can. So why this collar they want to put on the Brazilian people? I’d rather die than lose my freedom”, he commented.
The president also declared that he is against the use of vaccines against covid-19 in children. “We will all respect individual freedom,” said Bolsonaro. “Freedom above all”, he added.
The president once again said that he had always taken a stand against measures to restrict the movement of people and suspend trade and services, and he attributed the rise in inflation to these measures.
Earlier, Bolsonaro stated that the government is working with the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) so that Brazilian airspace continues without restrictions and requirements for vaccine passports. “Brazil can’t stand the lockdown anymore. We have to touch the boat.”
Elections 2022
The president spoke about the two nominations to the Federal Supreme Court (STF) that will be made in the first quarter of 2023. “As usual, Congress renews half of its staff, the state Executive as well, and also the presidency. Whoever wins the elections next year will have the opportunity to nominate two names for the Federal Supreme Court. Renovation is essential”, he said.
