The epidemiological report from Headquarters shows that this Wednesday 1,056 new positive cases of coronavirus were registered in the department of Santa Cruz.
This report also mentions that 283 patients beat the virus and two people died due to complications of the disease.
According to Headquarters, during the day the laboratories processed 4,350 tests and the positivity rate was 25%.
The new infections were registered in 30 municipalities: 889 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, 30 in Montero, 13 in El Torno, 11 in Camiri, 10 in La Guardia and Pailón, 9 in San José, San Pedro and Vallegrande, 7 in Lagunillas. and San Juan, 6 in Cotoca and San Ignacio, 4 in Buena Vista, Gutiérrez and Warnes, 3 in Cabezas, Charagua, Concepción, Roboré and San Rafael, 2 in Colpa Belgica, Cuatro Cañadas, Puerto Quijarro and Santa Rosa and 1 case in Boyuibe, Fernández Alonso, Mairana, San Matías and Yapacaní.
So far this year, positive cases of Covid-19 rose to 125,081, those recovered in total are 142,600 and the number of deaths as a result of the virus is 682.
On the other hand, 4,613 people went this Friday to the vaccination points set up by Headquarters in search of the dose against the virus.
