A woman and a man lost their lives after being involved in a collision between three vehicles that occurred in the route 1 from the country
The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. at kilometer 18 of the aforementioned road. According to the National Directorate of Highway Police, the incident had as its protagonist the woman, who was behind the wheel of a car and was heading in the direction of Saint Joseph. At a certain point, the driver lost control of the car and jumped into the opposite lane of the road.
After invading the opposite lane, the car collided head-on with a truck loaded with livestock. The vehicle ended up in the central flowerbed of the road and the woman died on the spot as a result of the injuries caused by the crash.
On the other hand, when the first impact occurred, a man who was driving behind the truck could not avoid colliding with it and crashed into the truck’s tail. The subject was rescued and was about to be transferred to a health center to provide assistance, but he died a few minutes later.
The Highway Police authorities had to close the path, which was totally obstructed, to work.
