National Holidays: Recover your figure with easy exercises

The they are getting closer and nothing better than celebrating them with succulent dishes that highlight the cuisine of all regions of Peru. Rice with chicken, ceviche and lomo saltado are just some of the most favorite dishes by Peruvians during the holidays, so don’t be surprised if you gain some weight.

But, what happens in these celebrations? We consume almost three times as many calories per day. Just to get an idea: for every 198 grams of rice with chicken, we get a total of 343 calories and if we add a potato with its huancaine cream, we would be adding 611 more calories.

In that sense, if you exceeded all of the above, do not worry. Israel Tejeda, technical leader of the Smart Fit gym chain, shares a series of physical activities that will help you burn more calories, improve your health, and you can do them at home:

Run:

It is a great exercise to exercise the cardiovascular system and burn off excess calories. In this case, you have to know that the exact amount will depend on factors such as speed, resistance, etc. However, a 30-minute session can help you burn an average of 300 calories.

Dance:

You will strategically work different points of the body such as the waist, hips, legs and buttocks, while improving your coordination and having fun. It should be noted that with constant practice you can achieve your goals. It is estimated that in an hour-long dance class you can burn an average of 500 calories.

Burpees:

If you are looking for effectiveness in your weight loss routine, burpees are a type of exercise that you should not leave out. It is a very complete movement where several muscle groups are worked. This gives it the ideal complexity to activate the entire body, in addition to increasing the respiratory rate and giving a strong stimulus to the metabolism. One minute of basic burpees, but done right, burns about 10 calories for the average person.

Bike:

You can choose between the exercise bike in the gym or riding a bike outdoors. Either way, it’s a great exercise to tone your muscles and burn calories in the process. It can also be a great means of transportation so you’re exercising and getting around at the same time. With 30 minutes of cycling you can burn up to 192 calories.

Climbing stairs:

If we live on a high floor or have easy access to stairs, we can take advantage of this infrastructure to practice one of the best exercises to burn calories. Walking up five floors five times a week burns an average of 302 calories, according to scientists at the University of Roehampton.

Whether it’s walking briskly, going for a bike ride, taking the stairs, any option is valid.
