The Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (MINERD) summoned a total of 119,675 students for the 2021-2022 National Tests, which will be held from today until July 15.
Por today 104, 870 were called for the different modalities of the Secondary Level. for the Macademic modality 54, 667 students are summoned; for Arts, 2, 833; General Mode 24,121 and for the Professional Technician 23, 227 students.
For this announcement 22 students who completed high school in the 1990s and who now decided to take the tests were included.
High school students will take the tests of the 12 to 15 of this month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and for Adults, with a total of 14, 805 high school graduates, it will be from 9:00 am, on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17; and Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 of the current month.
According to a statement from the MINERD in the Spanish language, 104, 472 students have been summoned; in Mathematics, 104,641; Social Sciences, 104, 429 and Natural Sciences 102, 492 students.
Meanwhile, Basic Adults for Spanish were called 14, 809; Math 14, 809; Social Sciences 14, 809 and Natural Sciences 14, 809 graduates.
The results of the National Tests will be available by August 2, 2022.
This test system, which is applied at the end of the secondary level in all its modalities and the middle and basic level of education for young people and adults, has a value of 30% of the student’s final grade for promotion, 70 Remaining % is the average grade sent by the educational center.
Lhe National Tests are established in the General Education Law No. 66-97 and are currently regulated by Ordinance 1-2016.

According to the MINERD, these exams fulfill a double function, the first being objective and automated certification, and second, reporting on student performance as an indicator of the quality of the education system.
Its application was suspended in the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years due to the Covid 19 pandemic, which forced the closure of educational centers and the implementation of the distance education modality. Now in the year 2022, the situation of the pandemic has improved and when returning to face-to-face classes, the regulations are resumed.
