Police confirm the arrest of the third person involved in the beating of a woman in a taxi

Camila Larrazábal Almaraz was apprehended by the Police this Tuesday. The women investigated for the brutal beating of Lauren YPC, in the early hours of June 18, when the young woman boarded a taxi when leaving a concert.

The director of the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc), Colonel Julio César Cossío, confirmed the arrest of the third person involved in the aggression, the same one that has already been brought to the attention of the Public Ministry so that it can be formally prosecuted for the crime of very serious and minor injuries.

“The arrest warrant for Camila Larrazabal Almaraz was carried out, is being transferred to the division of crimes against people of the Felcc so that it assumes its defense”, explained the police chief to Unitel.

He explained that Camila will be prosecuted, as will Matthew Merly Middagh and Daniel Vahid Nouri Dorado, who are already in preventive detention in the Palmasola prison. Meanwhile, a fourth arrest warrant against Kathryn, Matthew’s sister, has yet to be executed.

“Four people are being investigated for the case, two of them have already been subjected to a hearing for precautionary measures and are detained in Palmasola, now the third will be brought to the attention of the Prosecutor’s Office so that justice can determine their situation,” he said.

The aggression that was recorded in June was recorded by security cameras, the same ones that allowed the aggressors to be identified and the Public Ministry issued the arrest warrants, the same ones that were gradually executed, who caused injuries to the victim’s face due to the blows, a situation that was assessed by a forensic doctor and issued 35 days of impediment.
