Judge Emilia Santos exempted Danna Peña, a mother prosecuted for having denounced bullying, of which her minor daughter was the victim. The incident occurred in a private institution in Alto Paraná.
The journalist Oscar Florentín reported that in the oral and public trial, for defamation and slander, it was shown that bullying did exist and that the educational institution did not follow the rigorous protocol.
The director of the institution demanded compensation for the alleged damage of G. 40,000,000 and the payment of attorney’s fees, in addition to a custodial sentence, charges of which the affected woman was released.
According to the records, the defendant’s daughter, who was 9 years old at the time and was in fourth grade, told her mother that three of her classmates harassed her in the same classroom and that the teacher apparently minimized the situation.
It began with ridicule and exhibitions to the public because the little girl, who belongs to a family of artists because of her mother, was part of content such as videos on social networks.
From teasing and harassment they went on to acts of violence disguised as accidents and jokes, according to the parent. The three companions that the affected minor identified, constantly bumped into her and hit her with their elbows, but later apologized saying that it was accidental.
Then they supposedly grabbed her by the strong neck on one occasion, for a few seconds, and then released her and laughed, saying it was a joke,
It transpired that the little girl always told her teacher what was happening, but the corresponding measures were never taken.
