The country’s external debt represents 49.2% of GDP

Colombia's total external debt represents 50% of GDP

The Colombia’s external debt andIn April it reached US$174,313 million, a result that represents an increase of 28.31% compared to the same month in 2021 when it was US$135,846 million and is 49.2% of total GDP.

In relation to this last indicator, the figure for April is reduced compared to that of March, since the external obligations were 49.4% of GDP.

And compared to April 2021 there is also a decrease since in that month it represented 50.3% of GDP.

The external public debt of Colombia it reached US$100,582 million, 28.4% of GDP.
For its part, the external debt of the private sector reached US$73,731 million, 20.8% of GDP, a result that shows a slight increase from 20.7% in March 2022.
