Three other Dominican Don’t Play arrested for the crime of a young man in Madrid

Madrid (EFE).- The Civil Guard Spanish arrested three members of the Latin gang Dominican Don’t Play (DDP) as alleged perpetrators of the machete crime of a 25-year-old man related to the Trinitarians on February 5 in a neighborhood in the south of Madrid.

As reported on Monday by the Civil Guard, the arrests took place in Madrid, in the neighboring province of Toledo and in Badajoz (southwest).

The events that led to the arrests correspond to the so-called “night of falls”, in which that young man was murdered in the Usera neighborhood and another minor under 15 years of age was killed in the center of the City, two separate attacks by of presumed members of the DDP in the capital.

The first three arrests for the crime in a Usera park managed to dismantle, with eight other arrests, the “choir” (territorial group) of the DDP in the town of Illescas (Toledo), to which several of those involved in the events belonged from Madrid. The Illescas judge is investigating these three new detainees as allegedly responsible for the crimes of homicide and belonging to a criminal organization.

To the six arrests for this event are added two other prisoners who had been arrested by the Police for their participation in that crime.

It has been more than a year since the Civil Guard of Toledo began the investigations related to the criminal activities committed by the Dominican Don’t Play gang in the province of Toledo.

In recent months, Spain has suffered an upsurge in violence related to gangs, with multiple brawls with knives, and to try to stop it, since last February there has been a reinforcement of more than half a thousand police officers to control more closely these gangs in different neighborhoods of the capital, as well as in towns on the outskirts.

The two main gangs that operate are the Trinitarios and the Dominican Don’t Play (DDP), and it so happens that their members are getting younger and more violent.
