$97 billion approved to improve electrical networks in the Caribbean region

Air-e will allocate more than $97 billion to improve electrical service in Atlántico, Magdalena and La Guajira.

These projects, financed with national resources, but managed from the territory, reflect the commitment to improve the service

The company Air-e Intervenida announced the approval of $97,116 million in resources from the Electrical Grids Normalization Program (Prone)aimed at improving the quality and continuity of service in 24 priority projects in the departments of Atlántico, Magdalena and La Guajira.

Through a report, the company highlighted that 5,307 families living in historically lagging sectors will have secure networksnew poles, transformers and meters that will allow them to enjoy more reliable, sustainable and fair energy.

The projects are part of a strategy articulated between Air-e Intervenida and the Superintendency of Home Public Serviceswhich promotes the Caribbean Future Agenda: a roadmap to regain trust, guarantee equity in access and consolidate a modern and sustainable electricity network in the most vulnerable territories of this region of the country.

Among the approved projects, those that will benefit families in neighborhoods such as 8 de Enero, 12 de Octubre and El Retiro II (Fonseca) stand out; Simón Bolívar, Óscar Mejía, Daissy Hernández Urbanization and Villa Sandra (Maicao); Loma Fresca (San Juan del Cesar) and Villa Fausta (Uribia), in La Guajira.

In the Atlantic, sectors of Manatí, Luruaco, Campo de la Cruz, Repelón and Malambo will be intervened. In Magdalena, the works will reach Ciénaga, Sitionuevo and El Piñón.
