He explained that several of the apprehended civilians are from the transport union and are accused of “attacking peace.”
On the afternoon of December 15, blockades were reported in La Trinitaria, Altamirano, Las Margaritas, Comitán, Villa Las Rosas, Teopisca, Amatenango del Valle and Tzimol.
The mobilizations occurred after the Pakal Immediate Reaction Force searched several properties linked to the kidnapping of migrants and the sale of narcotics.

According to the prosecutor, the 30 detained civilians are accused of damaging video surveillance cameras.
“Those people, who were obstructing the communication routes, were attacking people who were participating in the operation, but, in addition, they were also destroying the C5 cameras with overturns, with some heavy trucks. They got on and were damaging the entire system video surveillance so that they would not be identified,” he added.
He explained that the governor asked that the transporters – who have participated in the blockades and criminal acts – lose “the right to the concession.”
After 10:00 p.m. this Sunday, Governor Eduardo Ramírez assured that the roads of Comitán were already passable.
The People’s Security Secretariat, in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office, reports that the entrances to the city of Comitán de Domínguez are now free of blockages.
