The National Emergency Assistance and Security System 911, in coordination with the Directorate of Social Assistance and Community Food (DASAC), carried out the delivery of raw ration kits in the Santo Domingo Norte municipality through the use of cargo drones.
These are part of the actions of support at impacted communities due to the rains of the atmospheric phenomenon Melissa.
The operation of the Directorate of Social Assistance and Community Food (DASAC) took place in Ceiba of the municipal district of La Victoria, where the overflow of the Cabón River left 42 families incommunicado and remain isolated.
The 911 drones, operated by specialized personnel, carried out the air transfer of food, allowing rations to arrive quickly and safely despite adverse weather conditions.
