The National Bank of Data and Information on Cases of Violence against Women (Banavim), in charge of Conavim, accumulates one million 400,415 cases of violence reported until the end of 2022, with one million 311,225 women victims and one million 370,473 aggressors, since registration.
“The total number of cases of violence against women, girls, boys and adolescents, registered in the Banavim between January and December 2022, by the people and institutions that are members of the National System and the State Systems of Prevention, Attention, Sanction and Eradication of Violence against Women, is 372, 505”, indicates the Ministry of the Interior in the statement.
A man was the aggressor in 77% of the registered cases, a woman in 4% and in 19% the sex of the aggressor was not specified.
The perpetrator of the violence changes according to the age of the woman: from 0 to 17 years old, the main aggressors of violence are the parents, while from the age of 60, the victims have their children as the main aggressors.
