During the months of September and October, the Dominican Republic Army has presented 86 people detained for trafficking of undocumented immigrants to the Public Ministry.
The arrests of these people were carried out by military patrols in operations carried out in different provinces, in which 16,255 undocumented immigrants were detained during the month of October.
The people sent to justice for these cases include detainees who were traveling on motorcycles, trucks, jeepets, cars and other vehicles with foreigners without documentation.

In the provinces of Azua, Elías Piña and San Juan de la Maguana, belonging to the 3rd brigade, some 48 people were arrested and brought to justice during the aforementioned period.
While in the provinces corresponding to the 4th brigade, which include Dajabón, Montecristi, Santiago Rodríguez and Valverde, arrests and subjugations totaled 28. For their part, in Barahona and Independencia, the area of responsibility of the 5th brigade, 10 were sent to justice.
The General Commander of the Army, Major General Jorge Iván Camino Pérez, reaffirmed that all people who become involved in illicit activities related to the trafficking of undocumented immigrants will be sent to justice to answer for their actions.
