Santiago – Members of the migration control team of the General Directorate of Migration, the Army, Cesfront and the Navy of the Dominican Republic, detained 831 undocumented Haitians, including 23 pregnant women and 50 children, in towns in Cibao and the Northwest line.

Of the arrests, more than 150 were arrested in the municipalities of La Vega, Jarabacoa, Constanza, the border by Dajabón, Montecristi and Valverde, area of ​​influence of the fourth infantry brigade, ninth and tenth battalions of the Army.

Of the 831 foreigners in irregular migratory conditions to be in the country, 724 are male, 102 women, 23 of whom are pregnant and 50 children who were in the company of their parents.

The operations on the northwest line were carried out on farms, highways and neighborhoods in the Valverde province, checkpoints in Las Matas de Santa Cruz, Copey, el Puente, la Solitaria, in the Montecristi province.

While in Dajabón the sectors, Abanico neighborhood, La Bomba, Benito Monción, La Fe, La Vigía, economic dining room, downtown, the cemetery and central park were intervened.

In recent days, thousands of Haitians have been detained in their attempt to enter our territory, through operations coordinated by the Director General of Migration Venación Alcántara Valdez and the Commander General Major General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre.
