The fourth wave of covid-19 infections continues to decline, but deaths are on the rise. Yesterday 829 deaths were confirmed, the highest number of this period. The Ministry of Health (Ssa) reported that 43 thousand 90 cases of the infection were added to the registry of the Respiratory Disease Surveillance System, for a total of 4 million 985 thousand 689 people who have had the disease.
Meanwhile, the epidemic curve maintained a downward trend for the third day, with less than 28 percent in the period from January 16 to 22, while hospitalization decreased two points in general beds and one in those with a ventilator, with which that yesterday the occupation was located at 45 and 30 percent, respectively.
The estimated active cases were 223,958. They are the individuals who started with symptoms of covid-19 in the past 14 days and represent 4.3 percent of those who have had the disease since the start of the pandemic in the country.
The 10 states with the largest number of assets per 100 thousand inhabitants are Baja California Sur, Colima, Mexico City, Nayarit, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Tabasco, Tlaxcala, Yucatán and Zacatecas.
