Dominican Edesur intervenes Cachón mouthnormalizes energy supplies and hires more than 700 customers.
It is a comprehensive project that covers the installation of prepaid smart meters, micro measurement, voltage regulators, customer standardization and recharging points.
Within the framework of the actions to efficient and improve the quality of the service, Edesur Dominicana intervened in the mouth of Cachón, in the Independence province, where he developed a program of normalization of the clients in the community to eliminate the loss of 80% of the electricity served.
This project arises in response to the energy and commercial problems in the area, where the service was not billed due to technological obsolescence and operational limitations.
In that sense, the Electricity Distributor company carried out a wide operation where it deployed brigades and technicians to install smart meters with prepaid technologies in measurement systems concentrated in height, the implementation of micro measurement in transformers and the optimization of electrical infrastructure with capacitor banks and voltage regulators.

The initiative also includes a commercial intervention, which covers the normalization of customers and the authorization of recharge points.
In addition, as part of the commitment to the community, customers will be included in the Government Subsidies Program “Bono Luz” and awareness programs on efficient use of electrical energy will be developed.
Boca de Cachón has about 739 users, of which it is estimated that about 80% of the energy served is lost due to technological obsolescence and operational limitations, in addition to having inappropriate voltage levels.
With the execution of this project, the company seeks to significantly reduce these losses and guarantee a stable and quality electrical service for residents.
The project is a fundamental step towards energy recovery, commercial sustainability and the improvement of the quality of life in Cachón, aligning with the strategic objectives of Edesur and national energy policies.
