80 kilos of gunpowder seized in Bello during year-end operations

The Police seized 80 kilos of gunpowder in Bello, in operations in Altos del Sol, Tierradentro and Villas del Sol.

The National Police seized 80 kilos of gunpowder that they were going to do distributed throughout the neighborhoods of the municipality of Bello, in the north of the Aburrá Valley.

According to the local administration, the seizure took place in two sectors: in the Altos del Sol neighborhood and on the Tierradentro sidewalk.

The other incident occurred in the Villas del Sol neighborhood, where upon noticing the presence of the uniformed men, a group of people abandoned a bag containing 218 fliers and 122 gunpowder ballotsmaterial valued at $1,000,000.

After the seizure, the authorities explained that The items would be valued at a little more than 6 million pesos.

“During this holiday season, the Mayor’s Office of Bello and the Police increase operations to prevent the use of gunpowder in the city. We invite citizens to continue reporting the transportation, marketing and use of these devices that put people’s health and lives at risk.”reiterated the secretary.

Other seizures
