He School Achievement Bonus is an annual financial aid for students who excel academically, being part of the 30% with the best performance in their class. This incentive seeks to promote responsibility in studies and reward academic effort, offering significant support to students and their families.
This benefit, delivered through the Social Security Institute (IPS), grants $78,642 this year to those students who are in the top 15% of their class. Those in the next 15% will receive $47,187. This differentiation in the amount seeks to recognize in a more substantial way those who achieve the best grades.
Payment of the School Achievement Bonus The payment is scheduled for September 16, 2024. From this date, beneficiaries will be able to verify if they are eligible to receive the contribution. To do so, they must enter the benefit website using their RUT and date of birth, or through the Unique Key. This digital facility allows quick and secure access to information.
To be eligible for this bonus in 2024, students must meet the following requirements:
- Belong to the 30% most vulnerable of the population according to the Social Registry of Households as of March 31 of the year prior to payment of the bonus.
- Be enrolled between 5th grade and 4th year of high school in the immediately preceding year.
- Be in the top 30% of academic performance in your class or graduating group during the previous year.
- Having attended primary or secondary education establishments recognized by the Ministry of Education (Mineduc).
Eligibility for the School Achievement Bonus The vulnerability assessment is based on the student’s academic performance and socioeconomic situation. It is crucial that families review and keep their Household Social Registry up to date to ensure that they meet the vulnerability requirement. In addition, schools must be recognized by the Mineduc, thus ensuring that academic standards are assessed fairly and uniformly.
