The president of Télam, Bernarda Llorente, renewed the call to “make Télam the plural, modern, egalitarian National News Agency, which dialogues with society and the world from a federal point of view for all Argentines”, upon completion of this Thursday, April 14, 77 years since the creation of the agency.
Llorente pointed out that “in this new anniversary of the Agency we want to trace a brief tour of the enormous challenge of last year, which had the consolidation of Télam as an achievement”.
“We do not forget where we came from or what we found when we arrived and, in perspective, we can say that thanks to the collective effort of everyone, who with knowledge, dedication, commitment and, above all, deep pride carry out their tasks, it was possible reach this stage,” said the agency’s president.

“This new stage of construction and growth will have as its main objective to turn Télam into a 21st century agency, up to the information needs demanded by Argentine society and the world,” he added.
“Although we live in complex times – concluded Llorente -, the workers of Télam, in the place we occupy, have assumed the responsibility of working tirelessly to achieve our primary objective: to make Télam the plural, modern, egalitarian National News Agency, that dialogue with society and the world from a federal perspective for all Argentines”.
