More than 700 kilos of drugs were incinerated.
controlled substances that were seized during the last week by anti-narcotics agents in the department of Santa Cruz were incinerated this Friday. A total of 757 kilos were destroyed, prior to the field test that tested positive for cocaine base paste and hydrochloride, in addition to marijuana.

Mamani assured that the fight against drug trafficking allowed this week to affect the sector with $1,514,000, for the total number of illegal substances seized and destroyed.
“The seizures were made in the province Velasco where 524 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride were seized. Another confiscation was made in Pailón, where 225 kilos with 725 grams between hydrochloride and cocaine and marijuana base paste,” said the deputy minister.
The anti-narcotics agents also carried out operations against micro-trafficking, coming to seize 7 kilos with 160 grams of drugs, and thus other interventions were carried out. “We are affecting drug trafficking with more than 1.5 million dollars,” Mamani stressed.

For his part, the fIscal Vinicius Castillo, pointed out that they were present at the act of incineration of the controlled substance, to verify the fact, he also explained that once the drug is seized, there is a period of seven days to destroy it.
“As established by the procedural code, the effective field trial of packages to verify that a controlled substance that was seized in the past few days is being destroyed, once it has been verified, it is incinerated,” said the prosecutor.
Upon field testing, the packages tested positive for a controlled substance.
