From March 19 to 25, 72 cases of covid-19 were registered in Venezuela, according to daily reports released by officials of the Nicolás Maduro administration. During that period, most of these infections were reported in Zulia state, which accumulated 39 new infections in that period.
The Zulian region is followed by Bolívar and Miranda, with 11 and 12 people infected with coronavirus in that week. The entities mentioned below were the rest where coronavirus infections were detected in the country: Carabobo (7), Capital District (2) and Guárico (1).
To date, the national total of cases due to this disease has reached 552,332, with 283 of them active, and the number of deaths to 5,854. According to official data, shared by the vice president of the Maduro government, the number of recovered is 546,195.
This update corresponds to March 25, when Zulia reported 10 cases.

Monthly, the covid cases reported from February 6 to March 5 were 4.4 million, which meant a global decrease of 58% compared to the previous month, while deaths were 31,000, 65% less.
