The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, described the participation of the Dominican Republic in the International Tourism Fair as a total success. Fitur 2025where it closed with investments close to 700 billion dollars.
Prior to the announcement of this and other achievements, the official stated that the event sought to project a diversification of Dominican tourism.
“We are going to decentralize tourism so that the Dominican Republic, in addition to its beautiful beaches, has much more to offer,” Collado said.

In addition to the investments, RD obtained the following through Fitur 2025:
1- Agreement with airlines: The official reported that agreements were signed with important airlines, which represent 500 thousand new seats for this year, only in the european market.
2- Investments : The investments captured represent, according to the Minister of Tourism, 7,400 new rooms713,000 tourists47,800 jobs and 477 million dollars in foreign currency.
3- The Dominican Popular Bank managed to conclude agreements for 2.5 billion dollars
4- The Reserve Bank raised about 4,000 million dollars.
5- The BHD Bank closed with agreements for 2,000 million dollars
6- Promerica It achieved another 250 million dollars, in its first participation as a financial entity in this fair.
Won best stand
The Dominican Republic Stand won the award for best Stand at FITUR 2025, an award that the country had already achieved in 2023.
