67% of workers prefer to work more days at home than in the office, according to a report

After two years of the ‘home office’ due to the and now that they are returning to the offices, 67% of Peruvian workers indicated that they prefer to work more days at home and only 33% are willing to return fully in person, as indicated by a report by the Dench Consultant.

“The pandemic has caused a rethinking of priorities, especially for the employees of the new generations, who have technology as an ally and who are looking for the possibility of reducing their travel times, as well as being able to better distribute their work schedules to maintain a balance and healthy integration between personal and work life”said Marlene Cárdenas, director of projects and change management at Dench Consulting.

For their part, 37% would be more inclined towards a job that encompasses both modalities, where three days it is mandatory to attend the office, while the other two days they can work from home. And, the remaining 26% prefer a “100% remote job”.

In this regard, Cárdenas recommended that in order to implement a hybrid work model, it is important that they first design or define the model that best suits the company’s labor needs. After that, the following should be taken into account:

  • Mix face-to-face and remote: According to the needs of each company, it must be established how many days the collaborator must go to the office, whether they are fixed or rotating, and above all, give a new meaning to the days of presence, for example, that they be destined for collaborative work. of the teams.
  • Positions that can apply this modality: Depending on the nature of the role and the functions, not everyone will be able to apply for this new work modality. Let us be clear that the value that the position provides to the company must prevail.
  • Clarity in the objectives and in the monitoring spaces: The teams must understand what is expected of them to avoid micromanagement, and ensure continuity of functions and results for the client.

Global figures for hybrid work:

The following figures, taken from the studies, “The rise of the hybrid workplace” and “A new perspective on the modern workplace”, carried out by the American technology company, Cisco Systems, show the reception that the hybrid work modality is having in the world:

  • 50% of collaborators believe that remote work will imply more inclusive hiring policies
