The National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane) made the last Migration Pulse Survey, which measures the perception and living conditions of this population in the country. “In round number three, the conclusion was the job insecurity that Venezuelan migrants were facing in Colombia, occupying less sophisticated trades, performing much more precarious jobs, with lower pay, prone to overqualification, verbal contracts or working more hours a week. Now we see that 52.7% of Venezuelan migrants who are pointing to the PPT their main objective is that regularization exempts them from the consequences of job insecurity”, said Juan Daniel Oviedo.

It is important to highlight that in addition, of the 60.8% who completed the procedure in the country to access this service, 42.5% have been approved and 58.6% are still in the process, which leaves 3.9% permission refusals.
