The Coordination of Investigations of Crimes Against Organized Crime of the Cicpc-El Vigía arrested six members of the criminal gang founded by Digner Guerra (Tiburón), in various police procedures carried out in the states of Mérida and Zulia, who were dedicated to extortion. Tiburón is currently imprisoned in Colombia and directs the gang from his cell.
In the south of Lake Maracaibo, the six subjects led by Tiburón were arrested, identified as Oswaldo Carache (30), nicknamed Soldier; Alirio Chourio (39), nicknamed Mama; Alidis Gutierres (43), nicknamed Yeyi; Víctor Urdaneta (24), nicknamed the Bullet; Jhonatan Serrano (29), nicknamed Botija and Orlando Pérez (32), nicknamed the Devil, according to a report released by the scientific police.
These people operated in Zulia, Mérida and Trujillo, sending audio or text messages with photos or videos on the social network Whatsapp to merchants and agricultural producers, threatening them with harm to them or their families, the report says.
Likewise, they fired shots or threw explosive devices at commercial premises, and then requested large sums of money in Colombian pesos or American currency and personal property.
