552 investment projects were approved

Aprobaron 552 proyectos inversión

The General Directorate of Public Investment, of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development, reports that in December 2024, 41 public investment projects were approved, for a total of 552 projects between January and December.

The report “DatoSNIP: Public investment in data” corresponding to December 2024 specifies that the total cost of the projects approved in December was RD$6,354.6 million, for a total of RD$301,947.6 million for the year, the highest amount approved in the last lustrum.

According to the document, 68.3% of the projects approved in December correspond to the Transportation sector. It stands out that the analysis by project cost shows that the highest amount approved in December also corresponds to the Transportation function with RD$2,899.5 million. “65.8% of the Transportation projects approved in December are for the reconstruction of local roads,” he says.
