The polling company Cifra presented this Tuesday in the news of Telemundo (Channel 12) a survey in which it was concluded that 52% of the residents of Montevideo approve the administration of the mayor of Montevideo, Carolina Cosse.

This last number is a rise of four points compared to the historical minimum of his administration, which was 48%, but a significant drop compared to the beginning of his administration, when 62% gave his approval to his administration.

Regarding the political affiliation of the people surveyed, 8 out of 10 members of the Front approve the way in which Cosse administers the capital city, while, on the other hand, only 4 out of 10 members of the multicolored coalition see it positively.

Cifra highlights in its summary that Cosse managed to stop the decline in approval, and the management of the mayor of the Frente Amplio today has the approval of the majority of the citizens.

10% of the people surveyed neither approve nor disapprove, and 11% decided not to comment.

The evolution

Cifra evaluates Cosse’s management every three months, and approval has fluctuated between the maximum of 62% at the beginning of his term, and 47% in March 2022.

Disapproval has varied between 19% -at the beginning of his government, in February 2021- and a maximum of 28% in March 2022.
