More than 5,000 men and women of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces remain deployed in the Guayana region, fighting criminal groups that intend to use the territory to commit misdeeds.
This was reported by the head of the Fanb Operational Strategic CommandDomingo Hernández Lárez, through his twitter account, while detailing that the military personnel remain in constant patrolling, exercising sovereignty, over the massif
Guyanese.
During these patrols, Fanb reaction units detected a fuel tank used for the illegal mining and environmental depredation in the vicinity of La Paragua.
“Reaction Units of the fanb detect fuel deposit for illegal mining and
environmental depredation in the vicinity of La Paragua in Bolívar state,” the Ceofanb commander posted on Twitter.
He also added that an illegal mining camp was dismantled in the Caura National Park.
