48 years after Perón’s death, the FDT remembered his figure with a message of unity

General Juan Domingo Perón died on July 1, 1974 in the exercise of his third constitutional presidency.

Officials, governors, mayors and leaders of the Frente de Todos recalled this Friday on social networks the former president and founder of the justicialist movement, Juan Domingo Perón, 48 years after his deathwith messages of unity from all sectors of Peronism and highlighted the direction of the national government’s project in the search for “a fairer society.”

With the hashtag #PéronEterno, the National Justicialist Party (PJ) – whose head is President Alberto Fernández – published on his Twitter account: “48 years after his departure, we evoke the figure of Juan Domingo Perón, who with his leadership fully interpreted the wishes of the working people and carried out an extraordinary process of transformations for the benefit of the great majority”.

Also, the Chief of Staff, Juan Manzurmaintained that “the example of our leader -Juan Perón- calls us to redouble efforts to achieve a more inclusive, fairer and more sovereign Homeland. Today and always we will remember Juan Domingo Perón”.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero affirmed that “the validity of Perón is in the doctrine, in his words and in deeds: he tirelessly promoted a real and effective continental union” and added: “Working for peace and the unity of the peoples of Latin America is a militant duty and a sincere commitment to history”.

In his turn, he Defense Minister Jorge Taianaevoked Perón’s words about the importance of unity, which must be “indestructible and infinite, so that our people not only possess happiness, but also know how to defend it with dignity.”

The First Vice President of the National PJ and Buenos Aires Minister, Cristina Álvarez Rodríguezstated: “48 years after his passage to immortality, his legacy guides us in the construction of a more just and equitable Argentina.”
