47% of companies in Argentina implemented the Internet of Things

Financing and centrality of technology centers 4.0 grows

In the segmentation by country, Brazil is where more companies incorporated these solutions and Argentina where less.

The 47% of companies in Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Mexico has already implemented Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, while another 35% plan to invest in this technology in the next 18 months, according to a private survey.

“47% of the companies in the region are already in the process of implementing IoT and the number of those that are in the proof of concept phase (PoCs) or pilot projects that are already in production grew 15% in the last year “, according to results of the IoT Snapshot 2022 study by the consulting firm Logicalis.

In the segmentation by country, among these four cases, Brazil is where more companies incorporated these solutions (36%) and Argentina where fewer companies joined the modality (26%).

Among the solutions most used by these organizations are: Video analytics for monitoring people and environments (49%), inventory management and internal logistics (27%) and geolocation (26%).

According to the report, 44% of the companies surveyed rated the importance of IoT solutions as “Very High” and “High” for the development of their ventures.

From Logicalis they indicated that “when we look andhe future of IoT technology in the medium term (three to five years), we see an upward trend, with 71% of respondents rating the importance of IoT solutions for your business as Very High and High”.

Among those who plan to invest in Internet of Things solutions in the next 18 months, “the sectors with the most specific investment plans are Utilities, with 56%, followed by the Services area (40%).”

The 67% of surveyed executives identified innovation as the main benefit of IoTfollowed by productivity and agility with 49% of positive responses and in third place operational efficiency with 42%.
