A total of 45 students were chosen in the 16 educational regions of the country among thousands of students who accepted during the Regional pre-selection of the National Oratory Contest.
After three weeks of scrutiny, the evaluating jury managed to choose these 45 participants from the provinces and three counties, who will compete in the national pre-selection on October 5, where the 15 best student speakers will be chosen to go to the face-to-face phase. at the Ascanio Arosemena theater.
It should be noted that the three juries are professionals with extensive experience in the field of teaching, linguistics, language and theater, who will have the difficult task of choosing the best speakers promoting the eloquence, excellence and leadership of young people who are preparing to raise your voice with the theme: “Reimagining education in Panama: The contribution of young people in the transformation and strengthening of the Panamanian educational system, post Covid”.
During these two stages of presentations, the participants will demonstrate talent in rhetoric and improvisation in the face of current issues that converge towards the sensitivity of critical and constructive scenarios that allow them to see themselves in the role that as young people they have in the growth of Panama.
The Contest enlivens interest, empowerment and this year’s theme in young students, it is an alternative that leads them to analyze, reflect and raise their voice with proposals that strengthen the educational system that has gone through countless challenges during the pandemic urging propose a new model and approach to learning, knowledge and well-being for all.
The realization of the grand finale will be in the month of the country, November in prime time at 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 20 and will be seen through the screens of RPC Channel 4, TV MAX Channel 9 and SERTV Channel 11 broadcast internationally on NTN 24 starting at 9:00 pm
The National Oratory Contest continues to strengthen as the highest Corporate Social Responsibility project of +Móvil managed by the Cable & Wireless Panama Foundation, in a public-private strategy that unites government institutions, diplomatic missions, private companies and the media as benefactors in this great crusade to raise the voice of student youth from all over Panama.
The organization of the National Oratory Contest is a joint effort between Caja de Ahorros, the Ministry of Education, the Office of the First Lady, IFARHU, the Panama Canal Authority, Liberty Latin America and +Móvil, who lead a continuous commitment to education , impacting more than 800,000 high school students nationwide in 17 years.
