The Sector Vice President of Sovereignty, Security and Peace and Minister of People’s Power for Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López led the act of promoting 442 troops to the rank of Colonel and Captain, where he highlighted the commitment and preparation in defense Of the homeland. The General in Chief expressed that the act “is an express order of the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, commander in chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to reward those who in justice deserve to hold new degrees ”.
He stated that “these degrees are important, all the generals and admirals went through that rank of Colonel and Captain of the Navy, it is not just any grade, because if something is demanded of a colonel or captain of the FANB, it is his ability to influence subordinate cadres, to set an example, to work with the permanent example, with the voice, with the verb, and the daily actions in any part where it corresponds to serve the country”.
The new colonel and captain of the ship, “must have moral, physical, innate conditions for what he is going to do in the higher grade, all this is evaluated in detail,” said the head of the Defense portfolio.
