This Saturday, 442 officers of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) were promoted to the ranks of colonel and ship captain by the Sectoral Vice President of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, Vladimir Padrino López.
The promotion ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Ministry for Defense, in the Fuerte Tiuna Barracks in Caracas.
In the activity, the also Minister for Defense highlighted the capacity of the ship captains and colonels.
“The rank of colonel and the capital of the ship are the bravest caste, the most rebellious also against the imperialist practices that are applied against our homeland. That great family of colonels and ship captains, today they are receiving their rank because they have earned it,” stressed Padrino López, quoted by AVN.
“They are true patriots of the 21st century. We go through anonymous, because we are not bragging about what we do every day, patriots are silent, ”he added.
In his words, the Minister highlighted that if anything is demanded of the Colonels and Navy Captains “it is precisely their ability to influence subordinate cadres, to work by permanent example with the voice, and more than with the verb with the daily actions in any part that corresponds to serve the country”, he said.
In addition, he pointed out that as General and as a minister he feels satisfied with the work carried out by all the components to evaluate each officer from the first levels.
FANB much more united than ever
Likewise, Padrino López highlighted in the act of promotion that a much more united FANB is currently observed, and prepared to face the interventionist actions promoted by the United States.
“We have a much more united FANB, I see a Fanb with more disciplined, more cohesive admirals. It gives me great satisfaction because every time I think of my Commander Chávez. Today with the attitude that we have assumed, we are aware of what is happening, the situation that we are going through, ”he stressed.
This Friday, the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduropromoted 12,670 FANB men and women to their immediate superior ranks.
