The government of Luis Lacalle Pou has an approval of 41% of the citizens, based on the results of the most recent survey published by Option Consultants and grouping the groups that said that his management is “good” or “very good”.
31% believed that the Lacalle administration is not “neither good nor bad”.
At the other extreme, 27% believed that it is “bad” or “very bad”, and 2% opted for “does not know / does not answer”, according to the polling company.
Coalitionist voters are more favorable
The survey revealed something very similar to those that have emerged from other measurements, which is that the voters of the multicolored coalition are the ones that most support the president: 67% of these chose the options “good” and “very good”.
“However, there is a significant decrease in approval compared to the previous quarter, going from 79% to 67%,” says the summary of the survey, adding that “this decrease in approval translates into an increase in neutral approval within the official segment, which goes from 15% to 24%”.
In this segment, disapproval rose from 4% to 7%, the document continues.
Among the voters of the Broad Front, the approval is abysmally different compared to the multicolors: only 9% see the government with good eyes and 56% disapprove.
“Also in the opposition electorate, the government touches in this quarter its historical minimum of approval, dropping one point compared to the previous quarter. However, the level of disapproval is also 5 points lower than the previous quarter”, highlights Option.
