3,180 new cases of Covid-19, 22 deaths and 690,558 recovered are registered

The report from the Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reveals that 398,876,441 accumulated cases of Covid-19 are reported worldwide; there are 316,536,880 recovered and 5,771,591 deaths for a lethality of 1.5%

In Panama, 732,207 accumulated cases of Covid-19 are recorded until this Tuesday, February 8; of which 3,180 are new cases. In the last 24 hours, 22 deaths have been reported and four from previous dates have been updated for a total of 7,886 deaths and a fatality rate of 1.1%.

Those recovered amount to 690,558, of which 5,890 are new recovered. In the last hours, 17,789 tests were applied for a positivity of 17.8%.

Active cases total 33,763, of which 33,171 are in home isolation and 592 hospitalized.

Those in isolation are divided into 33,024 at home and 147 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 519 in the ward and 73 in the ICU.
