With an act headed by the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, more than 300 young Venezuelans culminated the training of the first cohort Ramón Darío Vivas for the resistance and comprehensive revolutionary defense, developed at the Special Forces Specialization Center of the Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB), Lieutenant Colonel Eliécer otaiza Naiguatá in La Guaira state.
During the ceremony, Cabello thanked youth for its commitment and stressed that this training program “prepares patriots to defend national sovereignty against foreign threats and interference that threaten the peace and tranquility of the nation.”
The training, which extended for 21 days, included instruction in revolutionary resistance tactics, management of combat weapons, patrol, navigation, personal defense and control of manifestations, under the concept of popular-military-political fusion inspired by the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez.
The general secretary of the youth of the PSUV (JPSUV), Greece Colmenares, highlighted the loyalty of the participants and said that “young people have firmly assumed Chávez’s values to ensure that Venezuela remains a land free of imperialisms.”
The training was supported by the Bolivarian Military University of Venezuela, the Bolivarian National Guard and the CPNB, with logistics support from the Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, as well as the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
In the closing ceremony, the graduates made a practical demonstration of the acquired skills and received the badges that accredit them as members of this first cohort. Participating instructors and institutions were also recognized for their work in the transmission of knowledge to the new generations.
The act culminated in the solemn oath of the young people, who ratified their willingness to defend the independence, sovereignty and peace of Venezuela.
