300 officials deployed to prevent bonfires

About 300 municipal officialsbetween gendarmes and firefighters, have been deployed towards the 15 municipal districts of the Santa Cruz capital, with the aim of avoiding bonfires. “We must maintain the good quality of the air, that is why we are attentive to any complaint,” they indicated from the commune.

Public servants announced that districts 8, 7, 6 and 12 are the most likely to violate the environmental standard and light fires. “That is why we are reinforcing those areas with a greater number of personnel,” they warned.

The San Juan Plan includes notification for those people who are found in flagrante delicto lighting their fires, either inside the home or on the sidewalk.

It is known that the fine for offenders ranges from four to 20 minimum wages.
