300 Child Development Centers will be built in CDMX, announces Brugada

During the “ Desde la Cuna ” scholarship award ceremony, Brugada explained that this is a program that will provide 1,000 pesos every two months for children from zero to three years old, which will be accompanied by a health program.

“If we have a problem of malnutrition in children at this age, it often becomes an irreversible problem, that is, it definitely affects their development, so that is when we have to support the most,” he stated.

The capital’s president explained that what is sought is for the more than 300,000 minors between the ages of zero and three in the capital to become a generation that leaves behind malnutrition and health problems due to lack of resources.

“So let’s build 300 Child Care and Development Centers, throughout this city. They will have free access, here it will not be: ‘I don’t have money to leave my child somewhere’, free access to what used to be daycares; schools for good upbringing,” he noted.

Clara Brugada highlighted that this financial support will be granted bimonthly, as occurs with the “My Scholarship to Start” program and will also be accompanied by the Public Care System, metabolic and hearing screening, and nutrition and health programs.

He also announced that starting next year, pregnant women will receive a scholarship or financial and food support, so that the protection of children begins from the womb.

On September 14, a few days after starting her government, Clara Brugada committed to building 200 Child Development Centers in the 16 municipalities, which added to the 200 already existing would be a network of 400 units.

“All the next Utopias in the city will have a Cendi, a Child Care and Development Center, all of them, and we are going to make 100 Utopias, but even more, I am proposing to the colleagues, secretaries, secretaries, mayors that we can resume and do “Moreover, we have to think about doing another 100 in another 100 spaces,” he said on that occasion.

With this Friday’s announcement, the government of Mexico City would be building 100 more Cendis in the capital.
