The Special Section for Homicide and Femicide of the West Panama Regional Prosecutor’s Office demonstrated criminal responsibility for the aggravated homicide of the 14-year-old boy, which occurred on February 6, 2020.
The Public Ministry requested a 30-year prison sentence for Eybar Scott Aguilar, after the Special Section for Homicide and Femicide of the Western Panama Regional Prosecutor’s Office demonstrated criminal responsibility for the aggravated homicide of the 14-year-old boy, which occurred on February 2020.
During the 4 days of trial, the Public Ministry was represented by the Senior Prosecutor, Sherly Barria, and the Deputy Prosecutor, Jennifer Bethancourt; who, with testimonial and expert evidence, proved Aguilar’s guilt for the act of blood to the detriment of the minor who, according to forensic reports, died asphyxiated, his body was mutilated and later thrown into a ravine in the neighborhood of Villa del Carmen, in the district of Guadalupe, district of La Chorrera.
The Trial Court made up of judges Luis Bethancourt, Boston Estribí and Nilka Delgado announced that the sentencing will take place on March 25.
