30 years in prison for 2 men involved in multiple murders

SANTIAGO- The judges of the Third Collegiate Court sentenced two men charged with the murder of two others to 30 years in prison, in an incident that occurred in July 2018.

The Public Ministry represented by Merary Guzmán verified that the defendants Víctor Toribio Toribio (Panca) and Luis Rafael Díaz Toribio (Rafita) with premeditation, shot dead Ramón Antonio Tejada de la Cruz (el Rubio) and Alberto Minaya Toribio.

Since both accused were associated to set up a surveillance and kill the victims, for which they broke into a store on March 30th Street on a motorcycle, where the accused Toribio Toribio fired several shots.

The court made up of judges José Rafael de Asís (president), Deyanira Méndez and Yasmín de los Santos, analyzed the documentary, expert and material evidence, among which are the motorcycle and the clothing worn by the accused on the day of the facts and that the Public Ministry collected in separate raids and other procedures carried out with the endorsement of court orders.

Based on the evidence presented by the Public Ministry, a collegiate court of this jurisdiction imposed sentences of 30 years in prison
